I’m not going to lie, the first five interviews weren’t great. Don’t get me wrong, the people I interviewed were amazing, but I was not able create the interviews I envisioned. They were too short and felt too “interview-ey.” I moved quickly from question to question instead of letting things turn into an actual conversation.

The December emergency card event ended up being a really meaningful experience for me. While it took much longer than I expected, I still think it can be counted as successful in the end because everyone eventually completed their card. That said, the process showed me a lot of areas where I need to improve.

The December event turned into a much slower and more hands on process than I originally expected, and a lot of that came from how personal the emergency cards actually were. The cards themselves were simple. Name at the top, emergency contacts, basic medical information, and space for notes. Even so, filling them out required

Looking back on the November event, I would say it went pretty well overall. It did not have the same level of excitement as the kit building event, but it almost felt better. If that makes sense.  One of the biggest positives was how open minded the seniors were to the plans I shared. When
